Hi Darling Tribe,
I already told you this month is intense and demanding for me as I manage to prepare for my upcoming 4thyear examination, release more fashion collections for you, and blog as well. It is well with me, right?
I’m writing ahead but you’ll get it in due time. So it happened that while I was frying some Akara balls, the oil splashed on my skin. Thank God for the first aid skill. I had to apply pomade all over before it swells. Not to worry, I’m doing fine. Here I am locked in between bread and akara with a cup of milk savoring every bite with total pleasure. That’s enough make-up for my fried hand😂😂😂.
How are you too? I hope you’re staying strong and finding the time to connect with your inner core, beyond the noise in the world. I wish you peace of mind and love, especially in this season! Amen.
I heard it’s Valentine’s day!!! So tell me, how do you intend to celebrate today? Nice food? Games? Netflix? The beach? Worship Concert? Everyone has their groove! However, you’d love to celebrate, be modest and celebrate responsibly. Don’t lose your virtues and dignity for momentary pleasures. HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY, TRIBE.
Honestly, I’ve been thinking about why we ring the bell so loud about love on this particular day, the 14th of February and we forget that love is intentional and not seasonal. Do we have to wait till this day before we extend love to others or appreciate our partners and the people in our lives???.
When we think of love, we think about it as this ethereal thing that just happens to us — like a lightning strike or a hurricane. We act as though we have no control over our love and we let it come and go as it pleases. Love is a conscious choice we make, not a magical gift that’s bestowed upon us. It takes work to make love blossom, and it always takes effort to keep it around.
Because it takes effort to keep it around hence it’s not seasonal. It’s an everyday commitment and decision to love and do it right. Don’t wait for February before you’re reminded to love. Imagine if the love of God is seasonal. What would have become of us? The steadfast love of God is not seasonal; His mercies do not have winter or summer days. They are new now and then.
There are some seasons that I have been through that I never wanted to end. The season where I was reminded that the world can be a beautiful place filled with beautiful people. The season where I saw love manifest in the form of a person. The season where my heart was content and my mind was willing. But the thing about seasons is that they never remain the same.
One of the biggest mistakes we can make is to not understand the difference between a seasonal love and ones that are formed to stand through all seasons.
How do you know the difference ?Here are just a few pointers
💙Seasonal love often serve a purpose with an expiration date and non- seasonal love has a continual purpose
💙Seasonal love always keep you wondering ‘where is it going’ while non-seasonal love you know where it is going/ have an idea it’s going somewhere
💙Seasonal love often changes during different points in your life while non-seasonal love which evolves and often adapts to changing seasons.
A flashback to one February,I was in a relationship and few days to valentine’s day, I think I did something wrong. I can’t remember what exactly happened again but I remembered so well this guy telling me that there wasn’t love for me on valentine’s day because of what I did. It may sound funny to you but it was crazy for me. That day I questioned his love and mentality. Honestly, it’s really good to know how people we intend building relationship with were raised. Some were raised for survival and some for love. If you don’t make effort to know where you or your spouse falls into, I’m sorry but you’d always have a seasonal love or no love at all.
As your heart leaps for joy to celebrate this season of love, I pray you meet intentional men and women who will love you through all the seasons- in summer, winter, autumn, Spring, and forever. God designed love to be beautiful. I pray the people in your corner will make you experience love in its beautiful form, Amen.
Lastly, all relationships go through a number of shifts and changes, and (just like the weather) have their own unique seasons and phases that stretch us and grow us uniquely in their own way. These seasons each have their own rhythm, but all contain elements of both harmony and discord. Creating truly fulfilling love requires embracing these changes and accepting them for what they are; so that we are better able to grow together, rather than apart in all seasons.
I wish you a wonderful valentine’s season full of love in your heart. Thank you for joining me to read. I appreciate you. Sending love and Light your way. 💙💡. Don’t forget to like, comment and share.
Ps- Just incase you think no one loves you, here is is a reminder from me to you- Jesus LOVES YOU AND HE’S CRAZY ABOUT YOU every day with an eternal love that has no blemish. I love you too and don’t forget to love yourself my darling because the outflow of love begins from YOU.💙💙💙
Yours in purpose,
