31 DAYS OF SELF LOVE.

DAY 27- BE RESILIENT. BE STRONG.

HI TRIBE,

Good morning dear. It’s a bright Thursday here and I hope that you’d have a bright day as well.
The choices we make at every dire moment determines our resiliency as an individual. Some develop tough skin and fight it while others chicken away with excuses. I remember a few years in my second year when I lost my big brother to a car accident. You can imagine how tough that would have been for me. I had every reason to back out of everything but then I belong to a book reading challenge and that time we were reading “TOUGH TIMES NEVER LAST BUT TOUGH PEOPLE DO” BY ROBERT SCHULLER. I got so many values from reading the book. You should read it too. I learned that we all have the ability to overcome problems in life and what matters most is our approach towards dealing with the problem. It really does help me get myself back on my feet. Resilience is the capacity to endure and persevere in times of adversity. Robert says that a problem-free life is only an illusion. A mirage in the desert. It is a perception that can mislead.

However, we need to know that resiliency is not a trait we were born with but what you are shaped into from your past experiences. In other words, resiliency can be learned and developed through reading a book that addresses such areas and through the testimonies of others. Resiliency does not erase life difficulties but it does help us to become bolder, braver, and stronger in life. To make it through difficulties takes resilience and we have to be willing to learn from setbacks.

Resiliency is not just for surviving the worst day of your life but it’s thriving every day of your life regardless of the odds against you. It creates a pathway to overcome adversity and move with life gracefully. Again, there is no one with a problem-free life. Don’t be gullible! We all have where it hurts. Every mountain has a peak and every valley has it’s low point. Life has its ups and downs. No one is up all the time and no one will be down forever. Problems do end, Tribe. That’s the reason why you should fight through these difficult times to earn the best days of your life.

I will be sharing with you secrets to help you develop a resilient spirit during difficult times.

  1. STOP THE BLAME: This is a major way of people making excuses for the things they couldn’t do right. You really should know that blame game and complaining will take you nowhere (total waste of time) rather it paralyzes your strength and vigor to do what’s right. Resilient people don’t push blame, they accept the situation for what it is and are determined to make lemonade out of it. You remember that saying right? When life gives limes, smile and make lemonade out of it. That’s how a resilient person thinks. Dear reader, if you desire to overcome life challenges gracefully, stop holding(blaming) people responsible for your predicament and complain less. When you do this, your life becomes open to possibility.

  2. FALL SEVEN, GET UP EIGHT: People who are resilient do not know how to give up in their journey because they are convinced of their glorious latter. Thomas Edison could have given up after several failed attempts. 100 attempts till he got it right!. Because of a man who kept rising after each fall, we all enjoy the invention of the light bulb. Thomas Edison says that “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time”. Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. My advice, fall seven times, and get up eight times. That’s how resilient people behave. You don’t retire until you acquire your desire.

  3. A MIND OF YOUR OWN: If you must develop resiliency in your spirit, you must have a mind of your own. You do not allow people to talk you down of the things you know you are capable of. Having a mind of your own helps you to have a clear sense of focus, purpose, and direction.

  4. BE TOUGH: To be resilient requires the need to be tough physically, mentally, and emotionally and spiritually. Being tough helps you to confront your fears in spite of the uncertainty and focus on the things that can be accomplished. Tough times never last but tough people do. It’s a decision to be tough because many are fickle-minded. The reason life gets rid of them in one blow. Lol. you don’t want to be blown away just like that, right?. Greater is He that’s is in you than he that’s in the world.

  5. PRAY: All the four points mentioned above cannot be achieved if you do not pray because only God gives grace and power to an individual. Humans can only try . To overcome life challenges, pray to God to help you through it all. You are not alone. You are His. You have been chosen, redeemed and sanctified. Prayers does lighten your burdens. If you are heavy laden, approach God in prayer and He will give you rest for your troubles. Pray! Pray! Pray!. No one misses it in the place of prayer. Pray for power today, tribe.

Lastly,People who win over tough times are people who never stop believing in God and in the power of prayer. They have faith in themselves and in their God. That’s the secret of resilient people. Thank you for joining me today. I’m grateful and I love you. Love and Light. ๐Ÿ’™โœจ

Yours in purpose,

KUYE
